Created in 1997, Training Programs in Epidemiology and Public Health Interventions Network (TEPHINET) is a professional network of 65 field epidemiology training programs (FETPs) in 90 countries around the world. Our vision is to improve people's health through a global network dedicated to quality training in applied epidemiology and public health practice. Our mission is to strengthen global public health capacity by supporting well-qualified professionals in field epidemiology through training and service and networking opportunities.

International Night is hosted by the CDC Division of Global Health Protection and TEPHINET. The event provides a forum where Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) residents and graduates can not only give scientific presentations, but also increase their knowledge about surveillance, outbreak investigation, and recommendations that will strengthen public health systems and improve health outcomes in their respective countries. International Night also provides an opportunity for FETP residents and EIS officers to exchange ideas and expand the global network of epidemiologists who can be called upon in times of emergency.
This conference brings together students and graduates from Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETP) of members of the network countries in the world and during this venue, research works of different natures are presented and discussed, such as outbreaks, analysis or evaluation systems surveillance or other relevant topics for public health of countries.
