About Creator
Matthew Holt, Health 2.0 Co-Chair, spent the 1990s learning from the best to be a health care futurist at Institute for the future, and a survey researcher at Harris Interactive. In the early 2000s he spent time at a PHR start-up, but since he’s been the author of The Health Care Blog, and co-founder of the Health 2.0 Conference —roles for which he was mostly self-taught! Amy Cueva is Founder, Chief Experience Officer and health care principal at Mad*Pow, a design agency focused on improving the experiences people have with technology, companies, and each other. Amy is a true believer in the power of research-inspired methodology to address the challenge of competing business goals, customer needs, and technology requirements. With the state of health care in our country rapidly approaching a crisis point, harnessing that power has become even more critical. Amy formed the Health care Experience Design LinkedIn group and chairs the HxD Conference with that goal in mind, bringing together those invested in the design of healthcare experiences to discuss best practices, trends, challenges and solutions.
