Maryellen Smolka began her career as a sign-language interpreter in 1996, and has more than 15 years� experience working with people who are deaf or hard of hearing. She has been with CUNY since 1997, and is currently a CART Provider, Initiative Leader, Trainer and Coordinator of CART services at the College of Staten Island's Multi Media Regional Center.
