FREE TO TAG MEMBERS. SEE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CODE. Microsoft SharePoint Server is a powerful web platform used for managing and provisioning intranet portals, extranets and websites, document and file management, collaboration spaces, social networking tools, enterprise search, workflows, business intelligence, and process integration. SharePoint can host third-party solutions and provides a framework for custom application development. WHEW!!! With so many diverse capabilities, one can easily see how a SharePoint implementation will add value, become deeply ingrained, and provide critical support to any business operation. Since SharePoint can play such a key role in organizational success, SharePoint 2010 implementations should follow a roadmap to ensure scalability while avoiding the pitfalls and disorganized deployments of MOSS 2007. How can your organization implement SharePoint 2010 correctly for long-term business efficiency and productivity? The answer is simply to do it right the first time. Please join CTS for a webcast titled SharePoint 2010: Get it Right the First Time that introduces key concepts for creating a SharePoint 2010 environment that will be scalable, searchable, and ready to meet the demands of any organization well into the future. CTS will present on May 24, 2011 and discuss how to maximize the features and functionality of SharePoint 2010 using best practices to solve specific business problems. About the Presenter: Ron Jones Center of Excellence Leader, Portals and Collaboration Computer Technology Solutions (CTS) Ron Jones joined the CTS team almost 3 years ago, bringing a vast amount of SharePoint knowledge with him. Having experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2001, 2003, and 2007, allowed Ron to easily transition into the SharePoint 2010 world. Of particular interest to Ron is Enterprise Search and he ensured that CTS became one of the first consulting companies in the Southeast to obtain a Microsoft search competency. Ron uses his experience with implementations of pervious SharePoint versions to assist customers in establishing a roadmap to success for 2010 deployments. When he’s not working full-time as a CTS thought leader, Ron participates actively with SharePoint-related community groups, speaks at several SharePoint conferences around the United States, and serves as the co-chair of the Technology Association of Georgia’s Content Management Society. A Junior Patron at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Ron also enjoys a healthy devotion to college football, Thai boxing, and playing Scrabble. You may contact the instructor or his firm at [email protected] with any questions you may have on this topic.
The Effective Communications webinar is a preview of TAG's Effective Communication Skills for Technology Professionals training program. In this initial presentation participants will: --- Understand the decision-making process. --- Be better equipped to read decision-makers during the decision making process. --- Understand how to establish openness and maintain respect during the decision-making process. These are the critical communication components for technology and other professionals seeking to gain commitments from others.
Organizations clearly assign full responsibility for career growth to each individual employee. Yet, how does an employee take control of and plan for his/her own future? This webinar takes participants through a deceptively simple process useful in developing a personal career path. During the session, each activity in the 4 step process will be discussed with many examples given to illustrate actions that can be taken to achieve each step. Participants will complete this webinar with a model to follow in managing their own career paths and those of others.
