AfterSchool101: What Every Youth Worker Should Know
Do you work or volunteer in after-school or other out-of-school time program? Do you tutor or coach kids?
This course will introduce you, the youth-worker the basic principles of the positive youth development movement. You'll discover some shared language and competencies for youth workers that are being developed as we speak! We'll cover what it means to be strengths-based and solutions-focused in addition to practicing some communication tools that will help you quickly engage young people.
Good for new and veteran youth workers that are looking for something fresh and empowering for both them and the young people they serve.
