Carole Baker is founder of the self centre, a health and wellbeing centre in Bury St Edmunds, UK. She is a British Wheel of Yoga Teacher with over 15 years of teaching. She currently runs a private studio and is a Health and Wellness Advisor teaching in schools and companies. She has appeared twice on BBC RADIO 2 Chris Evans Drivetime and Breakfast shows espousing the benefits of yoga! Looking at a typical Hatha Yoga Class format - covering a warm up, various poses to improve strength and regain flexibility and finishing with deep breathing and relaxation - 1 hour in total
Beginners 10-Week Yoga Programme Fancy regaining flexibility and an open mind, improving strength of mind and body? Not sure where to start with yoga? This 10 Week Beginners Programme covers all the main types of yoga poses and their key benefits for health. We cover Standing Poses, Forward Bends, Backward Bends, Hip Openers, Core Strengtheners, Balances, Twists and Inversions plus we look at the differences between the styles of Hatha and Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Breathing exercises (pranayama) and mindfulness are also covered. At the end of this course you will have ALL the basics you need to start attending a regular yoga class or develop your own home practice. Hand-outs are available and personal advice given where possible.
